Water is essential to life, yet millions of people across the globe suffer from lack of this most basic need. The BBC reported in 2018 that India faced it's "worst ever water crisis, with some 600 million people facing acute water shortage."
UAN responded in 2019 by funding the construction of 30 community water wells in Bihar, one of the regions most affected by the water shortage. Construction of the wells was overseen in the villages by the Venerable Thich Tanh Tue.
