COVID-19 has profoundly disrupted the food supply for vulnerable people all around the world.
UAN supports and partners with trusted organizations like the Bodhisattva Foundation in Nepal who distributed basic food (rice, lentils, oil, salt, and sugar) in July 2021 to approximately 300 families of the indigenous Chepang community in Dading, Nepal.
Lama Sanga Rabten, founder and president of Bodhisattva Foundation reported:
"The Chepang community is one of the poorest communities in Nepal, constantly suffering from starvation due to famine. Nepal underwent months of lockdown, accompanied by torrential rainfall leading to roadblocks with no access to food."
UAN is responding to this global food crisis by raising funds to support famine relief in Nepal, Vietnam, and South Sudan.
